Paetoro has worked with Getech throughout 2022 to expand the geothermal favourability mapping approaches first tried in southern South America, to the Pannonian Basin and other countries of Central Europe. For further details on those studies contact Getech.  

Paetoro is also pleased to be associated with GEN in other countries of the region.  There is in the region a very diverse selection of geothermal resource, both for ORC Binary power and direct use heat applications in industry, agriculture, horticulture, and large scale water and space heating. 

Many countries in the region have also benefited from long histories of oil and gas exploration, which means the subsurface reservoirs are often well understood, and the opportunity exists for the geothermal repurposing of some oil and gas wells.  The drive to decarbonise from gas and coal in these regions is only increasing and Paetoro continues to work with its associates to marry the geoscience and market opportunities for geothermal in the region.
