Profoundly different paradigms
When significant volumes of evaporite are present in a tectonic setting, the influence on geometries is profound, and seismic imaging can be difficult. PAETORO's experience of evaporite tectonics includes diapirs and the "interpod play" of the North Sea, basin modelling in the Campos Basin, and fold and thrust belts with evaporite decollements, including NW Greece, Albania, as well as the Zagros of Iran. An intimate knowledge of the processes and geometries that can occur in these environments, is the best weapon when the imaging is tricky.
